Testing
As a student of Richmond Community High School, you will be required to take many tests throughout your high school experience including, but not limited to the ACT and the SAT. The ACT and SAT are college college entrance exams. Both exams are accepted at all colleges and universities across the country. Research shows that students tend to perform significantly better on one test as opposed to the other; this is why students at RCHS are strongly encouraged to take the ACT and SAT during the spring (second semester) of their junior year.
ACT
The ACT test assesses high school students' general educational development and their ability to complete college-level work. The multiple-choice tests cover four skill areas: English, mathematics, reading, and science. The Writing Test, which is optional, measures skill in planning and writing a short essay.
